Hello From The Isle Of Wight

Hi all.

Newbie here from the Isle of Wight. Had my red 2001 996 biposto for a couple of weeks now so thought I’d sign up.

I know there are a few owners on the IoW as a nice rider let me try his to see if I could get my feet down before having to get a ferry to do a test ride.

Always wanted one, probably still got the signed foggy posters from when I was a kid walking round the Birmingham NEC bike shows with my dad.

Anyway, Hi everyone, I look forward to getting involved in a few threads!

My new, well, 2001 996 which is known as 'Duck' as I had a bird (duck) strike on my second ride nackering the clutch master cylinder and nearly breaking my hand. Next to it is my Yamaha MT-07a that I had to sell to buy lots of Ducati bits

 

Yeah I'd say they are pretty good now, still got some roads that are naff but most of the main roads have been resurfaced. Can't beat a blast down Military Road in Freshwater
