i will post some older pictures of my bike. At the moment I am rebuilding the 749r with upgraded 848 big bore kit. Wenn I know my way around through the forum I will post the rebuild of my bike.
Welcome! If your bike goes as good as it looks then I want to see it in action! Look forward to seeing the pics too!
Hi and welcome. Looks like a great bike. Dumb question maybe? I noticed that some 749/999's have the rear caliper mounted underneath. Mines mounted on top as some others on here. Is this a change that people have done to the rear brake? Is it easy to do?
yes, it's easy to do, but the parts are expensive! MotoCorse (and others, I'm sure) made a replacement hanger for the caliper. Many people used 999RS rear calipers in conjunction with the new hangar. They're very effective! I think Sharpy has one on his bike.
I made this one in the picture myself. there are offered by others. I didn't need the wheel speed sensor and needed an pick up for the 2D datalog. so made a one off special. You need a longer brake line. rest is interchangable.
