New bike time so I figured I’d join up I’ve been riding since 2005 with a procession of bikes from dual sports to sportsbikes. I finally moved to the Ducati world in 2009 with an 01 748. That bike has been with me through a lot and has been my mechanical teacher. I knew when I first got it I’d eventually get one of its bigger brothers. I was finally in position to take a step up a few weeks ago and managed to get possession of a 998R, #460. It’s definitely been ridden in its life with 18k on the clock and there is some cosmetic damage on the fairings (luckily nothing major, I’ll be getting them fixed up come September by one of the better Ducati painters in the US) but it’s definitely strong and in good shape otherwise. Looking forward to many miles with the bike to come!
Not comfortable naming the exact price but way below previous open auctions and sales. I’m good friends with the previous owners brother and he was looking to get out of the Ducati world so it was mutually beneficial
