Hi, I've just joined the forum & would like to introduce myself. I ride a 748 Biposto & a Scrambler Classic. The bikes are so different but equally amazing in their own rights. 748 for the faster, more open roads, & the Classic for country lane riding & days out with the wife. I ride purely for pleasure, mainly from April to October (fair weather). I have a few scuffs on the 748 where it fell off the paddock stand. I'm thinking of using Chips Away to have them repaired, and just wondered if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with them. It's also due for new tyres, any particular recommendations? I don't do track days & generally ride well within my limits, with most of the wear on the tyre shoulders.
Hello from Huddersfield - with a yellow 748 this time. Can't tell you anything about chips away but happy to recommend a repairer that did a fantastic job of my LHS fairing. No joke - it looked better finished (inside) that the factory finished RHS. His name is Gary, based in Bradford and he's on 07949 852093. I believe he has done work for Ducati Leeds in the past if that helps. I don't have a scrambler either...................
I know Chips Away York South - she has (or had) a Ducati 999 :Angelic: had a couple of nice rides out with her (are you on here girl :Wideyed::Facepalm::Finger

Thanks Paul, I've tried ringing Gary but not got through to him yet, I'll eep trying. I also spoke to Chips Away, & they told me that they don't do motorbike paint repairs as they don't have access to the colour codes for bikes!
