I've just joined the ducatiforum because I ordered a new, red, Multistrada 1200S Touring earlier today. I've been riding a 650 V-Strom for the past two years and enjoy the general riding position and v-twin engine characteristics and when I test rode the MS, it didn't feel totally alien - until I started to explore the engine's power delivery, and I haven't stopped grinning since ! I also test-rode the BMW S1000XR but it was all together too frantic and I could see disaster looming in the horizon. I'm now waiting until the first week in January to take delivery as I wanted to have the bike registered in 2016, although it would be on a 65 plate - to match my age. Ha ! More news to come.
Thanks for the welcome and I'm getting the bike from Riders in Bristol. I must say that I've found them really helpful and easy to deal with. They let me have their demonstrator for 2 hours (midweek) back in the autumn and so I was pretty certain that this was the bike I wanted to own. I have to say I am REALLY looking forward to owning the MS and I'm hoping it's going to be a trouble free experience
Cool, sounds great! Yeah Riders seem to have a great reputation, if u are down that way and need any other services like suspension set up etc I would recommend JHS in Keynsham, very very good! I'm a fair bit further east up near Newbury so it's a trek for me but I still use them!
