hi guys, im rebuilding my 748 after big end blew, on a really tight/zero budget and just snapped an oil control ring refittin in barrel, cock!! has anybody got an old one knockin about please????? cant afford to get new rings, but will be buying a piston ring compressor so i dont trash anymore lol can paypal or cash n collect if around lincoln am really eager to finish engine, got a baby due on the 27th!!!! wife wants my engine off the kitchen table by then lol thanks, martyn
I cant really help in any way other than to say you'd be better of buying the oil ring and having a mate help compress it instead of spending on a tool you may never use again. The oil rings are cast i think, which is why once they've been used a while they do tend to snap into tiny little pieces so easily. I've done it too you see.
