Help - Getting ERROR code EXVL 23.5

  1. Bike is a 2008 848

    Running rough as a dog, won't tick over and splutters and hesitates like buggery.

    Now I know from the manual it's something to do with the exhaust valve...can anyone suggest from the code if its the servo or actual valve?

    Anyone had this problem and have a how to fix guide?

  2. Could be either but check whether the servo is turning or not. I expect the valve has jammed, causing the servo to stop turning, hence the error. If you disconnect the cables from the servo you should see if the servo still turns when the bike is turned on. If the valve got stuck then it may have burnt out the servo.

    With any luck you can strip and clean the valve and get it all working again.

  4. Easiest solution is to junk the EXBV altogether. It requires the ECU to be reflashed so that the EXBV is disabled. You can then junk the motor and cables. I can help, just send a PM.
