Hi guys little puzzled spend a lot of time cleaning the bike like most of us have over the last fee weeks, just walked into the garage and found this fly lead on the floor next to the front wheel? Looks the same as the spare nav connection but it isn't as I used that to connect my sat nav? Any ideas? Cheers Griff
It looks like one of the tails which are fitted by the factory to the take offs for heated grips and for the satnav/accessory socket.
Hi Derek Thats what I thought but both Sat Nav tail And Heated grips are used, so not sure of where or what this ones from?
I can't think of any others. Could it have been left loose in the bike somewhere when the heated grips were fitted.
It’s the lead used for the power supply to (typically) your sat nav. It’s usually under the near side fairing cover. I think it’s there if you don’t have something plugged. I’m no expert, but the block t the end must be a resistor to represent a load?
Thats All I can think, I must have been in the bike since the dealer fitted the heated grips in December, still goes to show then not much vibe on the big Cat when riding it around doesn't dislodge it but cleaning it does
I think you will find its the one either for the auxiliary lights or the electric fuel cap release they are both in a similar location to the sat nav one.
It’s to power your satnav. The black end bit is just heathshrink with glue, nothing else. Gently warm it, and you should be able to pull it off, exposing the two leads. That is if you need to power your satnav. Otherwise, leave it as it is.
