  1. Good evening All. I hope your all well. I am in need of some advice/help please. I am looking at moving the 899 on. I have had my fix and have realised that my sports bike days are done. The bike has 4990 miles on the clock, Termi's fitted, Tracker fitted with 2 years left on it, full Ducati dealer service history and is in really good condition. Could anyone give me an idea of what there going for at the minute please. Many thanks in advance.

  2. Nobody knows - other than it's a bad time to sell unless you cut your losses  best waiting a couple of months to see what happens!

  3. dont think now is a good time to sell at all... most people at the min are not spending money on luxury items... and those that have enough money to weather this storm are probably unlikely to pay you anywhere near what your bike was worth a few months back.. in fact those types will be waiting a few months till everyone is desperate and capitalizing on others misfortune. sad but true...

  4. Thanks Gents appreciate your advice

  5. I sold my 14 privately last year with 4k miles, tail tidy, tank protectors, bike trac in good condition minus a mark on the right fairing, full service history for £7300 after being up for sale from start of May until end of June.

  6. Y’a think? Just for fun (Ducati Manchester), I have just had an offer of between £3/3,5k for my Hypermotard. By way of comparison webuyanybike.com are offering £4,5k. Presumably at that price webuyanybike punt them out to the trade!
    What’s latin for seller beware?

  7. For what it’s worth I agree this is a Terrible time to sell, however. My mate just paid £9k for a mint one from a dealer with similar parts on. I don’t think he got a great price but there were other factors like he was shifting a bike that was going to be really hard for them to sell etc, and he got a bit more on trade in.

I was looking for a while and I wanted to be paying no more than £8k private sale for something really clean. Don’t sell it now unless you have to!!!

  8. Was offered £6500 from Riders in Bristol couple of week ago.
It was a Px figure against a V2.
    14 plate 899, 12000 miles, I think possibly £7000ish if sold privately

  9. Many thanks Gents, I dont need to sell, I am lucky enough to have a couple of 2 smokes around me so I will valet the Pani and throw the cover over her and ride this shit wave we are all on at present then punt it again. Once again many thanks

  10. mental isn’t it! I got £5200 for my 2011 848 evo that needed a belt service and they sold it for £6500 a week later, the old stuff really is starting to come up.

for what it’s worth I think 899’s are more desirable used. I’ve spoken to a few dealers who said 959’s are a nightmare to shift unless they have akrapovic belly pipes on which are rare due to cost

  11. It’s a hard market right now more than ever! I’m lucky to have sold my 959 back in February. Still miss the thing if I’m honest! The V4 is just positivity outrageous and far more tricky to ride hard! I was so dialled into the little one with more softer usable power. The V4 is a grower though! I’ve a buddy who is potentially looking at 899’s secondhand at the moment..... What you looking at price wise? I can certainly point him in your direction.
