Help! Tt 2015

  1. It suddenly turns out that I can get time off at the beginning of June, and I'd love to get over to the TT. I'm guessing that everything is already booked-up though. Any suggestions as to how I can do it? Anyone going in a group that I can join when over there?

  2. Im going over 6th to 12th june. Are you looking for homestay?

  3. Try the Steam Packet Company now and you will probably find that all sailings are booked up. Keep an eye on the official TT Forum and any others (like this one) where people will advertise tickets due to changes of plans, especially after 28th Feb when all advance bookings held with deposits have to be paid up in full.
Accomodation is the other main challenge, if that is an offer from d8mok to assist with lodgings, follow it up.
I would make the same offer, but my homestay hosts (since 1999) are probably moving and downsizing, so will not have room for anyone but the two regular couples who are already booked.

  5. Looking for home stay ideally - or anything really. Steam Packet tickets all gone. Will keep an eye on the forums. Thx Pete.

  6. I can probably help with homestay dependant on dates. It's £30 a night inc a awesome cooked breakfast and garage for your bike. She had room last time I spoke to her so let me know the dates and go from there.

  7. Thx. I need to sort ferry first. Will let you know if I manage it.

  8. I went in 09 and all the online sites were saying booked out but a call to steam packet on the thurs morn saw me on a ferry that night (midnight mind).. as far as accom goes i went to the tourist info desk on arrival and they rang around and found me a place (one of many still available) for £20.00 p/n b&b. take a sleeping bag if ya wind up out doors so be it!

  9. Guessing Pete may have mentioned this

Check the IOM website there is a forum with accomodation and travel, there are usually cancellations as some people simply book but don't actually plan!

Homestay works for me ...stayed with a great family last year and will be with them again for 2015 I am there from 01 to 13th so wont miss a thing ...with a team there, such a good crack. I would happily move out there if it wasn't for family here..then again maybe I should just take my bikes and leave them here lol

  10. Great reading your posts. I'm thinking of a trip as have not been since 1999, did see JD though. Is there any other way other than the Steam Packet ferry? I would be happy to camp, where do the majority of Ducati owners go, any idea?

    Cheers Vince.

  11. I know it's not ideal, but BA fly there from London City. Depends how desperate you are to get there next year.
