1199 Help With My Full Termi Exhaust Installation

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Andydea, Sep 12, 2014.

  1. Hi guys need some advise

I've started to fit my termi full system, I've removed the original exhaust and the exhaust valve servo, the kit says there is a cap what fits onto the electric plug connection the servo plugged into but it's missing, is this just a dust cap or is it a plug what will remove the error message that the exhaust value is not working?

Or does the up map get rid of this message

Hope some one can clear this up

    Cheers andy

  2. I suspect its a dust cap. Its the new ECU that came with the kit that should switch off the EXV. This is how it is on my 1198. Not 100% bout a 1199.

  3. if its anything like the cans its a plug which mine had not a cap, you get this as well as the up map ,know your on about full system, but recon you may be missing some thing,

  4. Did u buy them new ?

  5. It is a dust cap - the up-map removes the error message.

  6. yes farmster new

  7. Rich bugger !!!
The up-map just plugs in the seat cowl removed the error code

Got the system on, ducs are hard to work on compared to jap bikes, fixings always hidden by something so not easy.

I've not uploaded the map yet I'll finish it on Sunday with a few more jobs!

  9. Just fitted the system to mine after the silencers have been on for a while. Deeper sound, doesn't seem any less tractable at low speed (better than it was standard with exhaust valve connected) can't decide if any quicker top end 'cause they're plenty quick enough anyway.
Looks good but you will get a hot right leg at low speed.

  10. Mines track only so hopefully feel the extra pull, and weight saving

  11. Just fitted Termi header pipes to mine after running just the cans. I had my local dealer fit it and they installed the latest Termi update at the same time, so if you fitted them yourselves it maybe worth while taking a trip to your local dealer and getting it done. I noticed a big difference between just the having the cans fitted and upgrading to the full system. The bike is a lot smoother at low revs and has noticeably more torque mid range. And yep if you thought your arse couldn't get any hotter, think again lol.
