usually just need to type the message, place cursor where picture is to go then tap icon above text in "reply" - looks like a window frame, third from right. it then asks ' use existing or take picture' Choose existing, then cruise through your album for the pic, and then select and hit upload button. that should be the approx process, from memory. let us know how you get on, or post a pic or three.
