Can anybody please help me. My multistrada 1200 2010plate has just failed it's mot due to one indicator on the instrument panel not working. Does anyone know if this can be repaired or are they a sealed unit. If unit needs replacing does anyone have one or knows someone who has one for sale????? I'm desperate to get my bike back on the road, due to been ill for some time, I am know fully fit but unfortunately my bike isn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
To my knowledge, it's a replacement job. The display sadly is a known weakness and many were replaced under warranty. Depending on your bike's history and (dealer) service history you could ask for a goodwill contribution. Mine was replaced foc but I paid the labour when it went west several months ago. It ain't cheap new, about £600, and your mileage is stored in it, not the ECU. Andy
Should not need a light for an MoT pass. Put a bit of tape over both of the lights, if they cannot see it they cannot test it
Just done the "tape " fix for a airbag light on the dash of a Alfa , Nobbi is correct if they cant see it they cant test it only advise ....
