Hi All From Northampton Uk

Hi guys, my name is simon but people who know me call me Rockstar (or wannabe rockstar when they want a slap )
Anyways, just thought i'd drop a line to say hi and break the ice a little. I want to start by saying I don't currently own a Ducati but it is my intention and dream to own one in the near future.
At the moment i'm near completing a complete 1 off custom job on my '96 zzr 600 that's never been done before that will hopefully transform it from a newbie friendly 90's sportsbike into a real road weapon.
I digress, as I don't have a few grand saved yet due to getting a new house etc etc and sorting some other things in life at the moment, i'm hoping maybe someone out there has or knows of a 999 (weird but that's my fave ducati) that's either going cheap or may be going cheap sometime in the near future. It can be a complete dog I am not bothered, I know i'm not going to get a mnt 999s for less than 6 large lol, I've recently done my first year nvq in motorbike mechanics and after my zzr project (which only needs a speedo unit and the panels putting back on for its mot), i'm ready for my next project and the bigger the better really as I need something to keep me busy and occupied due to my job meaning i'm off a lot in the week while everyone else is at work.
I hope I haven't bored you all to death. I could lie and say I don't normally talk this much but yeah...if anyone wants to ask anything about me or wants to throw insults or banter about me having an old kwak as my ride, please feel free

thanks for the replies, i'll get pics of my kwak up once i'm on my feet properly again I sprained my ankle last week playing football and seem to have got shin splint from the injury too . Anyways I've been reading loads of the bike build threads and the work you guys are doing on your bikes is awesome, I just wondered if anyone could link me to a 999 build? Be good if I can see the sort of things people are doing to their 999's. I've looked on the 749/99 page but obviously there's no builds or major projects on there. Got excited yesterday when I found a 999s on ebay for 3300 thought ooh I could trade mine in and some cash for that...then read and it doesn't come with the engine and the guy sounds insistent on selling the engine separate which I don't get but there ya go.....tbh I thought he was asking a bit much considering price to get a decent engine AND potential garage costs if I wasn't going to do it myself.

I know! first full game, 10 mins in felt my shin hurting then came off worst near end of the game when I went for one of them 50/50's. although if i'm honest was never really a 50/50 considering i'm an athletic build and a proper short arse and the lad I went against was nearly 6ft and obviously bench presses a fair bit more than me lol....

haven't got a complete pic of the bike yet...it's still not fully assembled (my kwak that is) dunno if you guys want a close up of one of the panels I've recently finished painting but here it is...pic don't show very well but it's ford transit metallic black with purple metal flake...kinda looks silver in the pic lol. hope to have bike done by end of this week now i'm on my feet. have been reading a lot of the build projects on here, made me determined to work a bit harder and get some extra money lol....

 

ya know I would if prs did lefty's lol, i'm eyeing up a Les Paul for my next guitar and doing a complete custom job on my Ibanez seeing as I've done so much to it's guts already a fellow guitar player I see
I love prs guitars, mark tremonti signature is one in my friend's collection and he loves it!
