New member here. I'd been looking for another bike, tested various stuff from other manufacturers; some very good and some just good. Reckon its harder to buy a bad bike than a good 'un nowadays if ya know what I mean. Keeping my options open I went to the Ducati dealer for some test rides. Monster 1200 was ok but didn't quite have the wow factor that I was after (no offence Monster 1200!), Streetfighter 848 was great, liked it alot. Also really enjoyed the 899 Panigale, both fantastic bikes so came away with a dilemma. Thought about it a bit (probably too much!) and then ordered the 899 Panigale (in red), it was delivered a week and a half ago, its next trip out will be to the dealer this week for its 650mile service. Not only have I been running in and keeping revs down, its also my first sportsbike so there's a bit of getting used to, oh yeah an' its my first Ducati. Yeah its a big investment for a summer plaything but absolutely no regrets at all, its great, loved every minute of it. Look forward to getting some miles in this summer. An' I'll apologize now for the daft questions I may be putting on here; you'll be thinking "can't believe he doesn't know that!"..................... Cheers
