Hi, joined forum last night to get some help with my 749s. Here is a pic of it. Anyone else near me? Im in Bangor, near Belfast N.Ireland Ive seen a red 999 the odd time around town, but dont know who it is. Great forum.
Hi, thanks eyore. When I saw it for sale I HAD to buy it! Definatly not practical.. definatly not cheap to service, definately not cheap to ride.. But.. looks amazing Fun taking off at the lights
Hello and welcome. Despite owning a rather lovely 1098, I do like the shape of the 749/999. Underrated
Nzdave.looking at pic it does appear a little scuffed and used yeah. Not sure if that was down to me or it's previous owners. I do use rear break. U think it needs replaced?
Looks a bit like its had something stuck between the pad and disc, you might need it skimmed if it's not too badly scored but I'd check the minimum thickness required for MOT before replacing.
Just passed mot couple months back. I always have an issue with the headlight alignment. Every year same story. Not lining up with the line as it should. I adjust the knobs to level the lights...ales no difference. Last two times ie had to lean on back of bike. One year two mot testers pushed down on rear to et lights to hit correct spot for a pass. V annoying lol
Na mate, just commenting as most Ducati riders don't use the rear brake on the road, unless holding on a hill start or something
Went from never riding any bike..to learning with instructor, then test. First bike monster 600. Second was the 749s. Always used rear brake in conjunction with front. Especially when slowing in commuting to work in slow movin traffic
