Hi everyone, newbie Rich here. After more than a dozen different different bikes over the past 20 years I finally have my first Ducati !!! Just picked up a 2008 1098S and I absolutely love it. The generous previous owner had been kind enough to fit termis, various tateful (yes really) carbon bits and a decent alarm. And only cover just over 2000 miles so feels like new. Maybe not ideal to buy a bike like this in mid-October but then on the otherhand you do appreciate those crisp, dry winter days when they appear and can plan for sticky summer tarmac. Plus Christmas for new leathers..... Hi to all, looking forward to doing my suspension settings homework, Rich.
Hello and welcome Rich. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get your first Duke, it just makes it all the more fun when you do. I got my first one in May and I'm 50!
Welcome Rich. Which side of Brizzle are you? I'm down in Taunton. Quite a few Ducatisti up your way. Watch the forum and they'll soon surface.
I had to google this !! Rabobank Advanced SL vs Wilier Cento Uno - Road Bike, Cycling Forums Nice Welcome to black and red world
I'm not really sure how the red/black thing came about, maybe an early obsession with the ladybird ride at our local shops...
3.0 csl yum, many years ago I remember pulling off on to a slip road on the M5 en-route to the nec (car show) at (ahem) 140 mph, blew the bottom end out, at this point I should say I was a passenger thankfully, the repair bill was enormous, not sure whether I ever had a black and red ladybird trike tho
