Hey Boys & Girls, Got myself a SFS a few years ago and loving the bike. It is a good combination with my customised MT01. The SFS if you want pure performance, the MT for torque and cruising... Cant wait for spring! Cheers.
Yo Huddy Welcome ! I spend a lot of time in Belgium. I have an office in Leuven. Must have been there 50 times over the last few years. Also have a biker/work mate who lives in Gent. Your bikes look well cool !! The Mt looks so much like a V-Max. A lot better with the Akro cans. I have similar with a B-KIng, along with my Duc.
I have been for a trip in the Eifel last year. Very nice. Only problem was that I got stopped by a cop and I had to pay 100 Euro directly because I passed a white line...
Hi Henk. Good to hear that you live in the land of milk and honey. If you are interested in nice one day trips PM me. I will keep you posted.
I live close to the Nurburgring as i instruct tgere and at Spa Francorchamp. Too bad about tge 100 euro, but a lot of crashes in the eifel on the roads.
hallo, i still have my bikes but for the moment none off them have numberplates. but if you ever are at the coast then you are welcome to pass by. henk!!!
Indeed, numberplates are compulsory in this country. However, it sometimes comes in handy when they fall off.
I also think that the Eiffel is too crowded for motorcycles. I was one of the slowest riding bikes that day and he had to pick on me! The cop even told me that I was driving very responsibly. They record everything and show you what you did. I saw all the fines of that particular day, I am sure it was more than 60. Wow, adds up at 100 Euro a fine!
Thanks mate. When I was younger I have spent a lot of time in Leuven. Lovely city to go out and have a good time. I did not like the MT how it came out of the shop. Too big with those rocket launchers at the back. So I transformed it: new R1 Akras, new headlight, got rid of the speedometer. MT is lot less powerful than the B-King. Only torque, redline is at 5krpm. But so much fun to drive with the big 1700cc thumping away.
Thanks for the recommendation. Yesterday I went to pick up my bike from the Ducati dealers. I needed new belts. I had a chance to have a look at the Scrambler. Not exactly my cuppa I must say. There is nothing wrong with being nostalgic of the days of Steve McQueen. However, riding a motorcycle for me is getting this rush when going through the power, feeling the tires grip in the corners, having this massive torque coming out of the corners, cruising on mountain twisty roads, having the wife telling you "I could hear your bike when you were the other side of the village". But I can understand why the Scrambler has its success. It looks like the bike is made for hanging out on a Sunday afternoon, to be part of vintage-nostalgic times.
