  1. hi.bought my second ducati a few weeks ago.1098.my first one was a 748 and it was nothing but trouble.hope i have a bit more luck with this one.had a blade before this and must admit when i first rode it thought "what have i done",but as soon as the road opened up it all made sense.was going to leave it standard till next year but have already ordered arrow cans, carbon fibre belly pan and front mudguard.its addictive.any members from burton/derby area?

Dont even know if I should be on this forum now without a Ducati, but lingering hoping no one notices

  9. Hi and welcome, i'm in Derby but just put bike on sorn, hope to catch you next year possibly matlock/bassets pole.... Ian.

  10. Sometimes head up Derbyshire Matlock area but as you probably know its all 50 areas and camera vans. Quite like heading up towards Melton Mowbray and then on towards Market Harborough: that is a great road. If I have a long weekend I would head up around the Lakes and then call in at Hawes Yorkshire.
If I wanted a quick blast then probably Measham, Ibstock, Hinkley and back past Tycross Zoo.
But at the mo the Multistrada is traded and don't get the Speed Trip until the 19th then got to run it in

  11. i also use that road to melton, through wymeswold and rempstone and down to market harbourgh.used to go up to cat and fiddle and matlock every week but stopped when they put the speed cameras up.went to matlock a couple of weeks ago for the first time in two years.too many cars on the road and hardly any bikes.a brilliant run spoiled by too many police.got nicked two years ago by unmarked black impretza.thats cheating

  12. hey scouse mouse, where abouts in derby?blue scouse or red scouse

  15. Slight thread steal here. Can anyone explain how/why efcbluepete has a red Duke?

  16. He's obviously a red at heart, best be quiet as them blues are a bit cocky at the moment.

  19. Hi shakeys dad.........got ex-relatives in Burton, lived near the brewery next to the old graveyard in Clays Lane......lovely back roads between Burton and Alton Towers......I worked at the Towers for two months doing building design and contract management in the eary early 80s......I reckon I must be the only person that rode a bike (Guzzi) all around the roads in the Towers grounds. Also use to really like belting up the A444 from Nuneaton.

My SS was first registered in Burton as well.......
