  1. image.jpeg Hi guys, just a quick intro to say hi there as a newly registered forum member.
I'm a BMW car / bike technician but away from work I like Italian engineering.
Got myself an 07 1098 with only 7900 miles on the clock, just looking at doing the 7500 mile service myself sometime soon (belts and valve check).
I'll be off to France for a good blast after that as we have a 40 mph speed limit here in Jersey !

    Cheers for now.

    Andy.

  2. Welcome Andy (about to be Dave), you just removed Jersey from my possible holiday destinations list.

  3. Wally don't be like that, it's a nice place, it's just that we don't have any big roads here. Lots of Nazi WW2 history though.

    Andy.

  4. I'm sure it is lovely, Andy. If I do come over I'm bring the pushbike though. :D Welcome aboard mate.

  9. Welcome French Dave :)

  10. Welcome onboard, I pop over to jersey now and again to see my kids, they live in st Aubins.

  11. Nice one. I'm near Beaumont so I know St Aubins well ... Mostly the bars and restaurants lol. Cheers !

And thanks to all the above members for your kind welcome to the forum.

    Andy aka Dave.

  12. I stayed in the old court house, very nice it was too :upyeah:

  13. Hi Andy, welcome

Former resident of Jersey myself, lived in Bagatelle road for a while then in the center of St Helier in Stopford Road.
We used to regularly tear along the coast at St Ouens at a bit more than 40mph in my 205GTI (they were all the rage then).
Still have lots of mates there but not been back since 2013 when Heulin Renouf folded as many of my contacts worked there and used to blag a ride on their ship.

Not an ideal place for bikes but was always surprised how many were about and St Malo is not far I guess for weekend away. We used to Jetski loads instead and nip across to Sark etc on clam days.

  14. Nice bike and that's one hell of a paddock stand too :upyeah:

  15. I'm in jersey next week. Can I borrow it rather than hire a car? [emoji16]
