Hi guys (and gals), I am Harrie, living in the centre of the Netherlands and a biker for over 25 years. I started with some Japanse bikes (we al make mistakes) but the last 15 years there has always been one or the other Ducati in my garage. First a 900 Super Sport Nuda, then a Monster S2R 1000, next a 999 and since 1 month a Streetfighter 1098 S from 2010, which had 1700 (!) km on the clock when I bought it. It now has some 3000 kms on it so it is finally broken in after 8 years ;-). Compared to my previous Ducati's this is definitely the most potent one. What a beast I have made some changes to the bike already to make it look nicer and more driveable: - Removed standard handle bar and replaced by black Rizoma MA008 handle bar - Removed pillion foot pegs and replaced with Evo-Tech exhaust hanger - Removed bottom heat shield and replaced with Rizoma heat shield - sprayed the two aluminum coloured shields on the radiator black Considering additional changes: - replace standard exhaust with SC-Project open exhaust - reflash the ECU (for open exhaust and to improve running at low RPMs) - shields for radiators - have the seat cover material changed to something less slippery
