So after thirty years of loyalty to the GS Adventure, ignoring the brief six month fling with an Africa Twin, I’ve emigrated to aDesertX. My most recent GSA, a ‘21 1250 GSA Rallye, was a great bike. Akin to a Swiss Army knife and my fifth GSA. I ran it for over 2yrs and 13k miles. Ruthlessly efficient and reliable. Just missing the fun factor. I’ve bought a one owner ‘22 DesertX with 500miles from Ducati Bournemouth. The previous short lived owner added a lower seat, engine bars, barkbusters, touring windscreen, larger bash plate and a Garmin XT sat nav. It wants for nothing. I had two test rides and it just made me smile. Looking forward to enjoying the bike around the Surrey Hills and South Downs. Nice to meet you all. J
If you're never going near a field or off-road track; none. But its well worth adding one, many brands availble for the duke or if you've a mate with a welder kit a piece of mild steel!
