Hi everyone, just to say hello. I'm currently in the dreaded position we all fear - bikeless! I sold my Africa Twin when the right offer came about a few weeks ago and now the only 'bike' in the garage is my wife's Django scooter and that's too blooming dangerous for words - skittish doesn't come into it... Looking to get my first Ducati and lusted after Monsters for donkey's years - I'm after a nice 796 so may well pop up a few questions.

Cheers chaps. Chris, that looks lovely - I'm reasonably up on the model numbers (so many) as been trying to learn as much as possible before short listing likely models that appeal the most. But...when you say third series how does that fit into the years/models please? I've a lot to learn but I did think they all had the classic steel type tanks?
