Welcome aboard. There are enough people with incredible levels of knowledge on all models to help you spot the good from the bad. Make use of them i say.
hi and welcome from newcastle might be selling my 999s. carbon wheels and many many other top components
Cheers All I was looking for a 916/996/998 but I'm going to spend the extra money now and go for a 1098/1198:smile:
Good luck! Ive just got back into ducati ownership after a 13 year brake. Like you i looked at quite a few and lost count of the number of HPI checks i did. Have to say though HPI isnt great and wont pick up a lot of things like ringed bikes or damage which isnt reported. It also very often doesnt even show insurance write off`s, so it pays to look over any bikes very carefully. I actually looked at one bike which whilst HPI clear, not only had evidence that it had been involved in quite a heavy accident and repaired, but the actual chasis number had been overstamped by some amateur. It had a seriously suspect past. I ended up getting a 996 and have just spend about £700 giving it a complete overhaul so its a cracking bike now. I did think maybe I should have just gone for a 998 for a few hundred extra quid, or even a 1098 for maybe a grand more than ive spent - but even then id still have to overhaul it to make sure its up to my standard. It was certainly a blast getting back on a ducati though after such a long time! You`ll love it!
Welcome from Worcester. Take a look at the 848 evo also. I'm a pretty big guy and this bike has more than enough poke to get you into plenty of bother. Bloody great bike.
