Hi from the pyrenees!

  1. Hi from SW France.
I have just bought a Streetfighter S having sold my 851 and SP4 15 years ago. Have a hornet 900 also,(sorry), but Ducatis have always been my spiritual home. The roads of SW France were made for Ducatis. Empty, well surfaced, sweeping through glorious mountain scenery- and the weather is better than the UK!
Glad to be on the forum. It seems to be a great resource. There was nothing like this 15 years ago.
I am not a great mechanic- or a brilliant rider, so not much use generally, but can help if anyone needs to know about touring in the Pyrenees.
    Cheers

  5. Where are you in the Pyrenees fella ?
Usually end up thereabouts on our yearly tour but largely on the Spanish side.

Sometimes end up around Foix and in the Ariege region.

  6. Spoonz, I am on the French side, between Pau and Auch
If you are normally in Spain perhaps give the French High Pyrenees a try. I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

  7. how do buzz

  8. Have visited Pau a few times and quite often ride from there up the somport pass and on to Jaca.
Last year spent a night at Tarbes and rode up to Formigal.

Nice area, your a lucky man.

  9. Spoonz, When you are next in town, come over for a beer and a ride if you want. Three friends from the local area ride Ducatis too......

Know the area a little, I am in Cahors. Tomorrow going to Bainere de Bigores, not far from you. I had a Streetfighter S, mega mgea bike.

Oh and get yourself to Pau Arnos race track, the streetfighter S would be perfect round there.
