Hi, hope someone can help me. The oil cooler has gone on my Ducati 750m 1996 and I have been told the part has been discontinued part no. 54840171A. I have been online to find a second-hand cooler with no luck. Anyone know anywhere where you can buy one or get it repaired? Cheers
Alex Might be worth checking with Stein-dinse on current lead time: https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?products_id=89126 I think I have a used one in the garage, but won't be home for a couple of days to have a look. Be careful purchasing used ones as the SS one and Monster ones look similar, but the mounting bracket positions are different. Have you tried fixing the old one with soft solder or epoxy? Nasher
Hi Nasher, amazing that you for finding one, will check the lead time! If you do have one in your garage would you consider selling it? It's difficult to see where the oil is coming from, I hadn't considered soldering. Cheers
If I've got one it will be for sale, how much for will depend on condition. Probably worth giving it a really good clean the running it to see where the leak is. Nasher.
if it’s right on a union and as said, you can’t be sure yet where it’s coming from, then don’t rule out the hose assy end fixing pipe as the OEM ones love to fracture at the flare given time.
