  1. Hi just decided life is too short and I have never owned a Ducati so have chopped the 2011 Fireblade in for a 2007 1098S with Bayliss paintwork, very happy with the bike it has termi cans and a few other bits of carbon etc.
I have had a lot to do with the 1000rr forum and hope to become more involved in this one as well :)

  2. It'll take some getting used to if you're coming off a Blade. Seriously. You'll wonder why you changed.

Persevere and it will be worth it.

  3. Ooh Bayliss rep, very nice. Welcome from a fellow 1098s owner :upyeah:

  4. Welcome to the forum and to Ducati

  5. Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of Ducati
    It's mad in here
    Enjoy :)

  6. Thanks just ridden back 60 miles from Bristol and apart from the low speed manners around town which I will have to get used to I love it, it's Barmy acceleration, razor sharp suspension and the sound of those termis is unreal..... Must get some ear plugs lol

    Pics to follow :)

  12. Hello my good mate and a BIG welcome! Nice to see you here and love the new bike...

  13. so you got the new ride then, nice choice Jamie,
    what you think so far

  14. Very nice bike Jamie, must have been a great ride home!

  15. ooh that's quite nice

some nice roads round you to out of tractor season

  16. It was a great ride home, the power is brutal compared to the blade, the bike feels lighter and the suspension is great, I had ohlins and ktec front on the 4xv R1 before the blade and it reminded me how much of a difference it makes

I need time to adjust to the engine and character around town but it will not be such a problem once its dry, was still wet coming back yesterday.

The dunlop qualifiers are not a tyre I rate at all, had some bad times on the blade with them so they are coming off and a new set of interact K3's are going on as I have nothing but praise for them, excellent on the road and track wet or dry v v impressed with them.

Just ordered a rear wheel nut socket so will attempt to get it off myself, spinach at the ready !

Blade has to get a few pics in as it did me proud but the 1098S is a whole different level :)

  17. Blade was very nice mate, a bit sad to see it go! But soon as you open up that garage door and fire up those Termi's she will be easy forgotton...lol

  18. Cheers Art,

All the bits went to forum members for fair prices so it will live on ;)

If I'm honest I should of gone for a Ducati when I bought the blade, but did not have the guts till now.

I love it already and went to the garage for random things ???? 5 times last night ;) it's a thing of beauty.
