Unfortunately as often happens, my bike hasn't been used as much this year as I had planned. Its spent most of the time laid up. I did take it out recently, after I had the carb off and cleaned due to a reluctance to start on both cylinders. When I did take it out, it's got a hesitancy circa 5 to 6 thousand revs. It's brief, then picks up and flies. This was never there before and due to the fact its stuck in the rev range, I.e. not at different throttle openings, I'm thinking an ignition issue? What's people's thoughts so I can have a delve into the heart of it before the end of the season and get her out for some miles? Ian
Hey Ian, I’d be looking at the carbs, I think you have the fc’s. You’ve just had to clean one out to cure the reluctance to start on 2 cylinders. 5 to 6 k I guess you’re on the needle, a hesitate there points to slightly lean maybe caused by a bit of gummy fuel….. Funny things these Old Duc’s they do go better with regular use
