Holland Norway Lines is starting operation of a new passenger ferry route between Eemshaven (The Netherlands) and Kristiansand (Norway) on 7th April 2022. The company is running one ferry with 3 overnight crossings a week, in each direction. With the loss of passenger ferry crossings from the UK to Norway, Sweden and Denmark over the years, I believe that the most northerly crossings are now to The Netherlands (Harwich / Hook of Holland and Newcastle / Amsterdam). So to get to Norway via this route involves riding across The Netherlands, a bit of Germany and all of Denmark, to Hirtshals, and then a ferry crossing to Kristiansand (crossing operated by Color Line and Fjordline). The new Holland Norway ferry saves riding about 1,000 miles on a return trip plus at least a couple of days each way. I've booked for July/August next year. Hope this helps in planning your bike trip to Norway
I wasn't aware of the the P&O Hull / Rotterdam passenger ferry. I doubt I'll ever use it but I'm sure other forum members may well be interested - many thanks @higgy748.
