STM Evo Clutch holding tool First pic: the problem - how to prevent the pressure plate rotating - STM tool engages with the 6 semi circular recesses in the plate. Second pic: solution. Make a plate with bolts in it that align with the recesses. Gash chain drilled centre hole to allow 30mm socket to fit onto nut. In the background, you can see the Perspex template I made to transfer drill the holes to align with the clutch plate. Third pic: bolt plate to my 48t clutch holding tool Forth pic: viola!

Blimey, looking around I have quite a few rough and ready tools made quickly to do a specific job! Steering stem peg spanner for torquing the nut (made about 20 years ago and still used regularly):
Had to take my 749 to garage but my shock was away for service so I made this to bolt in its place so I could trailer the bike.
This was my best effort at dealing with those stubborn filters ... Note the exotic parts used - some pushbike bits a piece of timing belt ( dunno what vehicle that might have come from ! ) NB - no aircraft were harmed in the making of this tool .....
Wow , that filter cartridge has suffered some vicious punishment ... .... thrashed like a cheap dog I'd say ! Is that pic before or after using The Tool on it ? .... just kidding .... you clearly got the bugger out .....
