Home saunas

  1. Looking to put one in but am a little undecided between a traditional sauna, which I've always used or an infrared which I've only just read about.
Lots of blurb about the infrared being more economical, better at detoxifying and general sales crud but looking for a first hand opinion.

  2. got any idea yet on what your gonna charge?

  3. I have made use of a sauna owned by some Lithuanian friends of mine that was installed in an ISO Container in the middle of the desert. Very strange experience :)

  4. Do you get a free rub and tug?

  5. I did get an actual real beer which had alcohol in it. That was a treat.

  6. Another subject that I know well!!
I have had a genuine Finnish Stone sauna now for over 17 years, I have moved it with me from two previous house moves. I love the sensation of real stones being able to use different oils and scents to throw over the stones, even Schnapps is pleasant for that 'Far out feeling '
My father in law who also has had Saunas from the seventies has always had stone versions until he decided that when he moved house he was sold the idea of the infra heat versions at the ideal home exhibition. Some 6 years later it is fine, but not the real thing. I have tried his several times and yes it is quite weird that not heat comes from any central source and that only your body gets hot and not the sauna. No oils can be added and it is not the same sensation you get in a real sauna, so for me I do not like it.
The upsides are that it heats up faster and that is it, the running costs per hour are pretty much the same as his draws 4.5 kilowatt per hour the same as mine.
Given also that he has had two elements replaced in that time, and I have replaced my stove due to the original one rusting away!!!!!!

  7. PS. that is not me just a generic picture from the web.
    My Sauna is a NORDIC

  8. Pete,

Is that yr Facel Vega, or like me are you just dreaming of owning one? My dream car

  9. Sp4s, I love the Facel cars and no I do not own one but would have an HK if I won the lottery!!!

  10. Man after my own heart i also love the HK, much more elegant and discreet than alot of cars i can think of.

  11. Thanks chap, there cost neutral to buy so it'll come down to which one suits, and by your reply it'll be the traditional.
I've always used them and to me part of the experience is oils and water - take that away and i might as well sit in my boxers by the Rayburn!

  12. Home Sauna = Swinger :Jawdrop:

  13. I've visited the sauna in my local gym eight times now.

Not once has a woman come in and accidently lost her towel and ended up giving me a blow job....

Reluctantly, I'm beginning to suspect porn movies aren't a reflection of real life.

  16. You should go to Chariots in Vauxhall next to Metropolis, you can have as many bj's as you can handle. ask nicely and they may give you a back, sack and crack going over too.

  17. Have you thought about going private?
