    Hi All,
This is a great day out for everything Italian themed - a large contingent of Ferraris and all Italian scooters and motorbikes.
It is family fun-day with food stalls and entertainment too.
There is a ride-in from Motori di Marino to Hop Oast, Horsham. See attached flyer for details.
The official parade goes from Hop Oast into the centre of town.
Registered bikes can park up - and be admired - in the designated area.
Last year over 200 bikes attended.
You need to register to take part in the parade ride-in.

    Horsham Piazza Italia 2012
This is a great family day out. Italian themes are represented in and around Carfax in the Town Centre. There will be authentic Italian food stalls, live music, Ferraris and some very tasty Italian motorcycles – both vintage and modern.
Italian motorbikes and scooters will be on public show in Horsham following the grand parade into town.
Trophies for the best bikes in a number of categories will be awarded
This is your chance to experience true Italian passion!
Last year over 200 motorbikes rode in from West Chiltington – don’t miss your chance to be a part of this special event – don’t delay – book now!
All funds raised will go to local charities Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice & West Sussex Air Ambulance – minimum donation £5.00 per bike
Lok’n’Store will be providing safe, secure storage for bikers’ helmets etc.
Groups of Italian bikes and scooters will be leaving Motori Di Marino for a 26 mile ride out through the Sussex countryside, visiting other villages within the District.
Bikes will regroup at the Hop Oast roundabout, where we will join the Ferraris for the main escorted parade into town.
Fuel & facilities available at Hop Oast.
Should anyone want to book for lunch at one of the many Italian restaurants in the town, please let me know well in advance.
Advance booking is essential to reserve a space in town centre

  2. As successful as the Horsham Piazza has become, yet another Italian Restaurant is due to be opening in Horsham...

ASK Italian is scheduled to be opening: Spring 2012, but will it be in time for Easter...

One can only hope the event is better than last year... :D

  3. I've registered and can't wait, fingers crossed for a repeat of last years weather!

Anyone want to meet at Boxhill for the ride to Motori di Marino??

  4. I've put me name down. Indeedy - fingers are well and truly crossed for weather like last time

  5. A few of us from Kent are aiming to be at Box Hill for the ride down :)

  6. Well done Sue I think that should give folks the heads up on the event!!
I'm unfortunatly not gonna be able to attend this one, last year I met alot of guy's at Boxhill for the run down to West Chiltington!
It would be great if someone could jump in the bed for that one as Pietro's Garage is a little bit off the beaten track, we don't want folks getting lost eh
Have a great time and don't leave it to late to register as they are limited to the amount of riders on the run!
    Cheers Phil

  7. Already registered, will see you guys down there, although I will be on the tractor! ( guzzi!!)

  8. I shall look forward to meeting you - we had a great time last year.

Loads of residents came out and stood on the roadside to cheer and wave at us... quite "royal" !!

  9. Hi All

Could I just say that you only have 29 day's to go.

    Fred

  10. What time are you getting to Boxhill Nick?

  11. I'm not sure yet, I'm hoping that some kind soul from that neck of the woods will lead us down from there! Phil did the honours past year but can't make it this time around.

  12. I'm sure that one of us will sort it out ....us locals will let folks know nearer the time.

  13. Thanks Ken, it saves us getting lost.....

  14. Hey Nick! don't panic someone will come forward to help! It won't be a problem they are quiet a caring lot down here :) Last year myself and Bikerbabe zip-tied some Italian Flags to the back of our bikes which possibly helped people who were following or who wanted to meet up!!!
I think last year we all met at Boxhill (Rykas Cafe Car Park at the foot of Boxhill) for 9.00am with the intention to leave for West Chiltington by 09.30am. I think we ran about 10 mins over due to a little briefing via the ride down.
    Enjoy!
    Ciao

  15. Guys, You need to get down EARLIER this year.
Registration is from 9 to 10 am.
Horsham DC want us to leave Hop Oast by 11 am I believe - and they are being stricter on timing due to a few issues with parking up last year!
Thus we will need to leave Pietro's very much on time - by 10.30 am.
    Set your alarms!!!:p

  16. So what time will folks need to leave Box? 8:30? 8:45?

  17. 8.30 for sure - it takes about 45 minutes (group riding) to get down to Pietro's.

  18. Yes I agree BB it is about a 45min run, Guy's your gonna need to get up and motivated I would say you will need to be at Boxhill for 08.00hrs for a strict departure time of 08.30hrs

Pietro normally supplies Light refreshments while registration is undergoing
