In one respect a sad day but on the other hand, time to move on. With my decision to use the 1098R as my track bike of choice, the 748R will become my "special" road bike of choice so my stash can be a lot smaller. Trouble is, some of it is high value stuff with a limited market and hoarders do not make good sellers. I'm talking new 748R stuff like full sets of inlet and exhaust valves, pairs of HC pistons (incl rings & pins), pairs of barrels and Pankl rods not the specialist track bike stuff, although that will get sold at some time. Help please guys, how/where do I advertise this stuff. Andy
I would have thought on here would be one of the better places for your target audience. I imagine the largest collective of 748R owners are Forum members. My 748R doesn't see the light of day much but I still keep an eye out for bits that pop up on here and Fleabay. Most stuff that I'd like gets listed the wrong side of payday. When the bikes that get stripped for parts it seems like the stuff sells pretty fast (as horrible as it is to see a usually good bike laid to rest)
There's a very good tip in Andy800's post... launch your ad straight after pay day! Just under a week to go.... (I get paid on the 18th though... Doh!)
Yes try on here first and see how you get on. If you don't get a bite on some of the gear I will take it of your hands for a sherbert dib dab and 1/4 ounce of Army and Navy.
