I’ve got a new V4 PP and felt it was a bit tall for me as standard so I bought the ‘heated seat B’ as an extra but it didn’t seem to make it any lower. I’m 175cm (5ft 8) but have a short back (scoliosis) so my legs are the equiv of someone 5’10” but I still struggle to plant my feet at a tight junction where I have to pull to a stop suddenly. Any advice on next way to drop height more without ruining handling? Does anyone know what use the coil button is on the PP left hand control unit? I was told by the dealer it lowers the bike on a V4 but not on a Pikes Peak(?)
I assume you have the seat in the "low" position. I had done 6000 miles before I discovered that the seat could be lowered.
Pager 98 of the owners manual Refitting the seats and configurations Refitting the rider seat The rider seat (8) is adjustable in height. Insert the supports (E) of the seat (8) into their housings: 1) upper one (position H, high seat); 2) lower one (position L, low seat). If heated seats are fitted to the vehicle, insert the female connections (7a) and (5a) into the relevant slides (A) and (D).
Another thing (as someone nearly too short to own this bike) is when maneuvering or at junctions move forward on the seat so your thighs are at the slimmest point helps a little. (Low seat ordered )
