can i polish my bike before the paint comes off.....so so bored of this cold horrible weather, on the plus side i have got 6 hours of motocross booked in next friday, rain or shine thats gonna be good fun
I suggest you buy some more polish the summer will be another washout if the climate change boffins are right
The answer to you question depends on if you mean "polish" or "wax"... Polish is, generally, abrasive and will take off the oxidisation from the paint, and usually a small amount of paint too ( the T-Cut sort of product ). The paint on Ducatis being notoriously thin ( is it supposed to be a weight-saving measure ? ) it will wear through if you keep on doing it. What most people think of as "bike polish" is wax - usually silicone based - that is designed to put a protective layer over the paint and make it shiny. If you see a bike that has been waxed you will notice that the rain "beads" on the surface and runs off... You can do that as often as you like...
