How Much Does Yours Weigh?

  1. I am keen to hear...I'll weigh my ie when the final piece of the project, the single seat unit, goes on. I'm hoping for sub 170kg.

  2. My track 996 comes in at 175kg with half a tank of fuel

  3. and what about your supersport?

  4. on the move it is fine,, but stopped it is a bloody ton weight !

  5. I know a few who have a SS in track trim down to 150kgs without fuel...

  6. I was encouraged by my ss IE. 175kg without fuel and fairing removed. There is potential I think to get it into the 160s quite cheaply even with the fairing back on

  7. Some big gains to be had in fairing battery and headlights

  8. 165kg with full tank and in road trim :D

  9. Is yours a carby or IE?

  10. Looks like a half faired SL? So you would not have to do too much to that to get the weight down?

  11. Alloy swingarm, light battery, single disc, half fairing, carbon tank. That what you have Pablo ;) lol

  12. Is yours a road bike Richgilb? Or track? Henk got his carby track bike down to 157kg I think.

  13. 1000SS Trackbike no fuel 155kg That is with 1100 EVO engine, mag wheels, half fairing, bellypan, single seat and shorted rear "subframe" behind exhaust hanger, Shorai battery. Still stock tank.
    Pic on my Hello posting.
Missed the drivers weight: 85 kg including all gear.
So in total 240kg + fuel

  14. So am I going to be the first ? The rolling weight of my 748R(S) tricked out with lashings of magnesium alloy and carbon is irrelevant when at 6' 4"" tall with size 12 feet, my Dianese race leathers and Daytona race boots add to my 115kg and makes me kitted out about 25 to 30 kilos less than my bike. Most cost effective way to cut rider and bike weight ? Lose 15 kilos you fat bastard ! Andy

  15. Tis a mere roadbike, so I can't see me getting lower than 165 without chucking cash at carbon wheels and a kevlar tank. I do have an ace up my sleeve though. The motor on the bike is an 1100 evo (like Henrik's), which Ducati claimed to be 6kg lighter.

  16. Well, I think you could do both. I lost 14kg in weight two years ago. Bike needs to do the same. At 6 4 and 115kg, I suspect you might consider a similar amount for yourself?!!

And regards the 748, well you bought a bit of a porker anyway!

  17. Welcome Henrik....how are you enjoying it here compared to ducati.ms?!

So 155kg is a reasonable target for the track bikes. 165 has to be achievable on my bike.....

  18. The comment was meant to be self deprecating and not aimed at anyone else. My name is Andrew and I am a fat bastard. Andy

PS - bait ignored but I am not sure about other 748 owners .

  19. Lets meet at Cadwell...me on my Supersport, you on your 748.....and unless you have tuned it I suspect I have a power advantage too?

  20. Ghost got his to 150 with bit of fuel. Custom ally tank and everything drilled.
I weigh 120kg. If I can get my mates 600 monster, can I come a join this too? 52hp, 175kg plus rider. Barely more than half that of a 1100 Evo motor. You'd need to be under 1'50 laps to lose me tho....
