Dear respected forum members. I have owned my 1299 from new (May 16). It's been used frequently & therefore miles are on the high side , approx 11,700 miles. All services are up to date, next due in December. Extended Ducati warranty until May 2020. Ventureshield since new ( not a mark on the bike). Biketrac. Evotech tail tidy. DP carbon front guard DP tank pad. Metzeler M7RR tyres. The bike is in excellent condition. I've bought a S1000RR recently & the panigale is not being used. So I'm debating to keep and use infrequently ( long warranty left) or potentially sell. I've not seen anything comparable, constructive comments on a value appreciated. Do I keep & sell next spring or even later & let the miles average out, Cheers
Looking at what's currently available you're anywhere from £14500 to £17000 although it is relatively high mileage so I'd be expecting lower end offers
It's a non S I'm assuming so I'd put it at £14k as the absolute max. With the mileage you have I'd probs say £13k.
I reckon £13k sounds about right. But may be keep an eye on the arrival of the new V4? Might impact used 1299 prices? BTW I sold my S1000RR track bike back in 2013, bought an 1199R & now have my name down for the V4. The BMW was an animal, absolutely thrilling in a straight line, but the 1199R while a bit slower, absolutely eclipsed it in the corners - made me feel good in a way the BMW never did. Given the choice, in your position, if I was only riding on the track, 1299 every time. But on the road, probably take the BMW!
I would say £13500 - £14500 if you waited to Spring. I got £13500 trade in for mine which had slightly less miles, is out of warranty in December and has none of the extras other than Akros. If not in a rush might be worth hanging on to as been told there is a demand for second hand 1299 and this should mean it wont fluctuate too much when the V4 arrives with it's base model being £18-19k. Same as you I got an S1000RR 2017. It's fantastic. Had a good old laugh with the wife as it was in for it's first service. After the 899/1299/Multi, it's the first bike in 3.5 years I've owned that has actually made it to it's first service without breaking down.
