How do I check the air intake temperature sensor? Is there a resistance measurement for a given oC? Or Is there a way to prove its functioning correctly? I have a problem with over fueling and not just a little. One of the possible causes that have been suggested in a failed or faulty air temp sensor!
The dash should throw up a fault code AIR TEMP. if the sensor is faulty. See page 31 onwards in the handbook. The air temp sensor is used on many platforms. A pattern part can be had on eBay for sub £20. Probably quicker to spend that amount and see if it resolves your issue.
Also if the temperature reported by it is unusually low, or it's always reporting Ice, that would be another indicator. You can disconnect it and ride around like that also.
