So just fitted some very nice Gilles rearsets to my bike, hoping I've got the shifter side correct............. anyway the question here is they are infinitely adjustable and I have set them as close as I can to OEM for now. What I want to do is make the bike turn faster when I apply weight through the pegs but I'm not sure what I need to do in the way of adjustment to translate this requirement ? Any experts help guide me through how raising, lowering, front to back changes things ?
Youtube Dave Moss set up videos, ergonomics I think is a good one, he talks about getting it so your knees are in the tank line and how then adding up/down can add to direction change leverage, also one from Andy Ibbot on similar point
mmm I can't find them, lots of very interesting videos I should make time to watch but none specifically on rearset setup ?
This is the best thing I can seem to find so far. Motorcycle Rearsets – The benefits and how they help you
a bit higher and bit further back. Wear bigger boot on left foot so you can still reach the gear lever. Left foot doesnt matter as missing the rear brake is as bonus.
same guy and series but its on a gixer project bike I think, I'll have a look,,,think I got the info from a few different ones
YT is a PITA and doesn't allow search within a channel. I spent about 2 hrs watching this guys stuff the other night, and found some links to some recorded-live shows he did which altho a bit longwinded were pretty detailed
