I went to look at a 2010 Hyperstrada last night and I'm really tempted to change up from sports bikes. Are they generally reliable? Any fun? They look like a barrel of laughs!
The Strada is more 'usefull' that the Motard, mainly due to a deeper seat, which in turns puts your feet in a better position and the screen. Its a perfectly good motorbike and just like the Motard, is a barrel of laughs A bit different to a sportsbike due to the higher seating position and lower power output, but by no means any less enjoyable
I'd have the R1 for all day riding and blasts out. The hyper would satisfy those times when you fancy an odd half hour of madness. IMO anyway.
I only ride to go for a ride's sake. It's not my main form of transport. I might try and get a test ride on one. The R1, for all of its blistering speed and mental rush, is too much for the road. I want to try living with around 100bhp and a sat up position. I've found I'm not going out on decent weather days just because I don't want the madness the R1 demands. God knows why the new bikes are 200bhp+
