Hyper To Multi

  1. I've been pondering for a while and finally decided to switch from a hyper to a multi. It was a tough decision and at the last minute I almost decided to keep both as they looked so good together:

I miss the hyper but at the same time am enjoying the multi - they are like chalk and cheese.

  2. Bloody hell, if I had the money to buy your hyper I would - like a shot....still not finished the KTM....(did some more wiring last night!) - the draw of the hyper I think is going to be too much for me to keep the KTM so I reckon ill be jumping ship back to the hyper....

  3. I was gutted to see her go comfy but will get daily use out of the multi rather than occasional dry weather weekend rides on the hyper. With the long range tank and the rest of the kit it will make a great bike for some lucky....

  4. I physically can't get any more bikes in the garage!....I'm missing the ducati motor the most.....pondering the thought of selling the rsv4 and getting a streetfighter. ....just a thought....

  5. Funnily enough I took a multi for a test ride yesterday. Loved it!
I was amazed by how light it felt and so planted and stable on the road. Very fast but everything seemed calm.thought there'd be more engine breaking than there was. I want to try the s1000xr too.

  6. After riding the s1000r and going to dick Lovett I don't think I'll be owning a beemer anytime soon....nothing they did wrong or the bike....I think they're just not for me.... I didn't like the showroom, the fact that all the bikes had "do not sit on this" on them....blokes striding round in brand new leathers....literally everyone that was in there....beemers are too clinical for me and too integrated...but that's probably me being old fashioned as it's all going that way...

  7. I don't really care about brands as such and I've never really fancied any bmw (only ever ridden my mates r1100ss boxer cup and hated it) but I do like the look of the s1000xr and as it's 2 grand less than a multi I'd like to try it. Riders haven't got any left not even a demo (launch was on Saturday). I've never been to dick lovett but I phoned them yesterday after going home from my multi test and they have one for test rides so may have to pop up and try it there.

  8. The other thing is I've never had pcp thing on anything (rather actually own it outright )but my mate that was with me and a few boys in work always use it (and waste a fortune in my opinion) but I asked for details of how much it would cost. Interest was charged at 10.9% but the bloke in dick lovett emailed me details and the repayments were less. they were giving 8.9% on exactly the same spec bike and the finance for both was from bmw select. How can that be?

  9. I always own my vehicles outright - if it didn't I'm sure id be in comfy' shoes of a full garage. Not sure how they have different interest rates given its the same finance company. Seems odd but perhaps they give dealers the ability to tweak rates and prices between certain bands.

  10. As for the multi vs the hyper it's like dragonfly versus wasp. The multi has more power on paper than the hyper but the delivery is such that you don't notice it until you have to stand on the brakes as you are doing insane speeds. It certainly does feel planted and much more flickable than I thought it would. The brakes are good but no way near as sharp as the hyper so that is going to take a bit of getting used to. Dare I say it I'm loving being able to chuck my work bag in the top box!

  11. Top box!.....noooooooooooo......

  12. It's wrong but it's a 20 second job to whip it off when not commuting

  13. It'll never happen to me....If it does, someone put a cheese wire across the road guns of navarone stylee....

  14. I'm not proud! It looks minging but I can't be dealing with the weight of a laptop and the like in a rucksack on my shoulders.

  15. I use a courier bag with a waist strap.....think I was wearing mine when I met you....just loosen off the strap til It rests on the rear seat....easy...I'm trying to save you from yourself...!

  16. That's an interesting thought that could save me from standing on the edge of the Clifton suspension bridge!

  17. Manage to get round the mountain section of the tt with camera, zoom lens, food, drinks, phones, spare batteries etc etc....heavy when I'm not on it but no problem while riding....and that's on the rsv4....even more comfortable on the zed...

  18. What year is your multi brass? I really liked the one I tried but I don't really want to be paying £15k plus for a toy (I only live 3 miles from my ambulance station so can't justify it as a commuting tool).

  19. How'd you enjoy the TT this year comfy? I tried the NW200 for a change , never again!

  20. Brilliant as ever....booked up for next year....let me know if your going....We'll try to meet up....caught up with Mr flute at this year's Bristol Italian day....
