This Hypermotard 1100s was the first registered by M&S Newcastle when the model was released in June 2007: I placed the deposit that spring when Ducati announced the model officially, and so got the first one out of the crate. The bike has been with me ever since, with full service history from M&S and Ducati Glasgow. Having covered only 6,270 dry miles since then (country roads only – no track days or urban use), the bike is still in pristine condition and is totally standard apart from: Ducati Performance carbon rear hugger Dual Termignoni exhaust system, plus titanium link pipe Ducati Performance Racing ECU upgrade Ducati Performance airbox modification 14T front sprocket All original parts will be supplied to the new owner, including manuals, owner's card, two keys and genuine Ducati Hypermotard red fabric cover. It is fitted with Pirelli Diablo Corsa Rosso tyres. The bike even still has the original "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" stickers on the mirrors. The bike has been through the requisite recalls for battery box changes and front brake line changes, initiated by Ducati in 2007 / 2008. The only imperfections on the bike are those to be expected: Stone-peppering on the front cylinder and oil cooler (no way to avoid this on a naked L-twin) Tiny stone chips on rear wheel rim and shock spring The bike has worked flawlessly since new and has provided more fun and enjoyment than I've had from any other bike, whether B-road blasting or touring. You can ride one of these things flat out and then when you're tired, ride it home like a commuter bike in total comfort. It's mad design and amazing sounding pipes mean it turns heads like no other Ducati I've owned. Time to let someone else enjoy it and make space for a 939 SP - in my opinion, the only Hypermotard to have improved on this fantastic original design. Bike is located in south-west Scotland (close to English border), but will happily transport within a reasonable radius. Got to be the best original Hypermotard available, therefore looking for £5,900. Prices on these original models are starting to harden, so it'll be a solid investment for someone who's also prepared to take care of it like I have.
