So last month I made the decision to get my ECU remapped as I had the following fitted to my hyper 796:- Zard PETA race slip on, Leo vince de cat, pipercross air filter and home made DP air box. I was worried about the engine not running right as it was constantly popping and banging. After a lot of research in the winter months there I thought that I was going to have to make the dreaded trip to Bristol to see Chris at CJS as there was no other options that I trusted. I emailed Chris and explained that I lived in Scotland and that I would be looking to come down. Kindly Chris mentioned that he has a friend who has a remap business called Dyno Bike in Malton North Yorkshire that he works closely with and shares his knowledge and experience with. So I contacted this Dyno Bike and got my hyper booked in for a ECU remap at a cost of £420 inc VAT. This was more convenient for me as I was going to be down in Newcastle for a week with my work so I transported the bike down on a trailer and dropped it off at Dyno Bike and he kindly agreed to keep my trailer on his yard to save me towing it back up to Newcastle for the week where I was staying in a hotel. Anyway after a week in Newcastle I collected the bike on the Friday Paul at Dyno bike couldn't have been anymore welcoming he was honest and said he had a slight issue with remapping the bike at one point when he started on the second cylinder but quickly was resolved after a quick phone call to Chris at CJS. Anyway I received the results on my Dyno print out. After a month of riding the bike is much smoother not as many pops and bangs acceleration feels better and torque feels much better also. Overall I am over the moon with the job Dyno bike has done for me. So I thought I would let use all know so that anyone who lives closer to North Yorkshire doesn't have to travel as far as Bristol. I can put up the Dyno results if anyone is interested. Cheers Ryan
Heh - usually jpg as in "you took a pic of a sheet of paper...." which I confess I did take a pic of the screen one my first on but then got a jpg email to me on the second...
Aww I get you lol All I got was that sheet printed out along with my invoice. Don't seem to remember him offering me an email either. A JPEG copy would be helpful as this one is a little creased and crinkled already!
If he's like Chris he'll keep the jpg along with the ecu serial numbers. I guess its form QA so he knows what he's flashed to what...
hi. thinking of remapping my 796 monster. suffering from poor low down throttle response and throttle snatch. is the remap worth the money in your eyes? has it improved your motor.? cheers.
I think remapping of any motor produces better results... Not sure where you are but I would suggest cjs near Bristol... Mine was there last week... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Just to clarify heres a quick example....this is my 1100 from stock to a custom mapping at CJS - all ive got on there is an end can, drilled airbox and K&N....notice the second gear torque increase... And that's just the start of the fun...
The time and £350 I spent with Mark at BSD in Peterborough transformed the bike, where every you take it a full remap & tune is the only way to go !!!
