Hello Everyone, I need help. How do I loosen the exhaust clamp to remove the old can and fit my new SC-Project oval slip-on. I have tried loosening the nut and giving it a wiggle but I don't want bust my new bike by forcing it too much. My new pipe is just sitting in its box now . Thanks in advance .
Loosen the nut right off then you may need to prise the clamp open slightly to get it over the flange, simples
Remove the original bolt completely. Put a long m8 or m10 bolt through one hole. Then thread on two nuts. Wind the bolt through the first hole and two nuts and through the second hole in the clamp. Then because the two nuts are sitting between the clamp you can start threading the nuts away from each other. This opens the clamp up as the nuts become further apart. Lift old exhaust out of way .place new link pipe in position and then do the reverse to close clamp back up.
