Hi all, Just purchased a new SP on Thursday trying to get that first 600 mile on it before its first service. Love it more every time I go out on it. Part exed my Repsol blade to get this -not disappointed at all.... Noticed on a lot of pics people are using Ohlins steering dampers, looking for some feedback as to whether the bike benefits from having it. Too me it does feel a little light on the front end but obviously I'm still running it in. First time I've ever done this with a bike but doing my best. Looking forward to hearing any opinions on this people may have.... Cheers
i use mine for backroad hacking (i mean commuting if my wife reads this) and i've never felt the need for one
I am still getting used to mine too and as you say what a fantastic bike The only time i feel it could do with a steering damper is when it lands one of its many wheelies ( mostly unintentional) a bit crossed up, if that makes sense. I shall not be bothering though as it soon sorts itself out
