For what it's worth, I've bought vehicles, privately, via Gumtree and Autotrader, and sold a car via Autotrader, in the past couple of years, with no problems. Autotrader I felt was expensive, but it got me a car buyer after Gumtree had produced nothing but ridiculous texts and silly offers. On the other hand I made a good bike purchase via Gumtree, and it was not advertised elsewhere at the same time. Your ad looks good - if I was in the market I'd be tempted - but I'd recommend correcting the spelling of "time-waster". Sometimes it can be easier to filter out the wasters if, initially, you use email only; you can often tell a fair bit from an email, although you still need to be very careful about who you are dealing with. When buyer and seller are both decent people, everything usually goes fine!
Probably not but it's worth stating anyway. So if they phone me up and I b@ll@ck them they only have themselves to blame!
Biggest thing for me is if they ring or text you . If I'm looking to buy a bike and the number is onthe ad then the least I can do is speak to the owner. For me 95% of people looking to buy a proper bike will ring over texting.
