  1. Overall I'm mega pleased with the HS. I've fitted the Termi slip on, Topbox plus some other bits and bobs. Having some problems with fitting the shorter hugger but will overcome :)

Only real issue was having to be recovered as the bike had switched to No 4 recovery mode! Which basically means it won't start - now updated with the latest software and all is well in the world again. It was a bit of a pain as it was during the rush hour but Ducati Glasgow were excellent as always.

First service done and can now start moving up the rev range a bit. She's a great bike but I still love my 1100s which seems more planted. Probably as she's heavier and has better suspension. Both brilliant bikes that compliment each other perfectly and give me everything I want. Hoofin!

  5. I would love an SP but at 5'4" I think I might struggle a bit!
I think a Hyperstrada might work though :)

  6. I'm a 30 inside leg and with a 'Journey' seat I can get both balls of my feet down or one side fully. Not too much of a drama but find the seat a little wide - I'm going to get it worked at the front to reduce it.

  7. just ordered one :upyeah:

  8. Hi Guy's, i'm new to the forum & also to Ducati too, i've recently taken delivery of Hyperstrada 821 but having a few niggles, may be it's just a 'Ducati' thing! I'm even shorter in the leg at 29'' so decided to order the Journey Seat to help a bit. Tried it out the other night for a short ride & found it really uncomfortable, the edges were digging into my thighs & needed to keep moving around in order to try & get comfortable, but never seemed to! The standard seat is more comfy (not perfect) but just that bit too tall for. Any thoughts & where do you think I stand about possibly returning it?
Also got a few other niggles which may like to offload, if O.K with you?

  9. I had exactly the same problem. I took some of the staples out of the journey seat and exposed the filling - I then trimmed it back to the plastic and thinned it a bit on top. I then just slipped the cover back on for a test ride. Once I'd tested and re- trimmed I re-stapled it. Worked a treat and saved a fortune :).

Seat is much more comfy but still a little too wide compared to my Hypermotard 1100S seat.
