I am a naughty boy.

  1. I picked up my copy of Classic Bike Guide today and started lusting over the bike featured on the front cover, the Ace Cafe 1200CR Street Special.A limited run of 11 bikes to be built and I want one,I don't need one,but what a gorgeous bike.
The problem is after showing my lovely wife the pictures of the bike I convinced her that I should have one and she said have one.I think my part of the deal is to sell one of my bikes to make room for it.I will have to sleep on it and see what I come up with tomorrow.

  2. Just buy one. She'll not notice if you don't sell one to make room for it :upyeah:

  3. That does sound naughty:upyeah:

  4. You could always move the sofa outside to make room for it :) :)

Also if you have 2 bikes things in odd numbers always look better ...
This is true of decor in the home and stuff ( blag blag bluff bluff).

  6. got a picture merv, let us have a look ; )

  7. I like your thinking.but I would never be allowed to have a bike inside the house.
As you say,odd numbers always work better. When I was landscaping, plantings were always in 3's 5's,etc.Even plantings looked wrong.I couldn't really deceive my wife, she is to good to me already with my motorbike lustings.I think my mid life crisis is going on far to long.:upyeah:

  10. Can you take a photo of the magazine? :)

  11. My wife told me I could have an 1199 if I wanted. I went to the local dealer and they'd already taken deposits on the first batch with no delivery date on the second. I resisted the urge and I'm glad I did. I built my Radical Pantah in the mean time and got so much enjoyment from it, it makes me smile just walking into the workshop and seeing it! Maybe build your dream bike instead?

  12. I have great admiration for you Nick, and others like you that use your enthusiasm, skill and all it takes to build your own bike.
I cannot go down this route as poor health prevents me.I do have my dreams though and still collect bits for my "new build Triton",knowing that it might end up being one of those projects that never seems to happen.
However I do appreciate the work that goes into some of these professionaly built bikes and am happy to spend money on them if the machine really excites me and gives me a buzz.I think though that I do tend to be like the little boy in the sweetshop as far as bike fancying is concerned.:upyeah:
