Hi all, I had to sell my 996S a few years back due to moving house etc etc.... Anyway, it wasn't always the most comfortable or easy bikes to ride and I used to sometimes question why I had it.....so... after 3 attempts ( of me backing out ) I sold it. It is still the only bike I have a photo of on the wall! Anyway, there is never a good time to throw caution to the wind and think f*?k it but today was that day.... I have just put a deposit on a 998. It will be pampered and polished. My trusty tuono is still may main vein of fun, and it is an amazing bike that puts a huge grin on my face in a different way, but there are few bikes that give you this feeling like a 916/996/998 ( it's pretty daft really ). I have owned brand spanking blades, rs250 etc etc but nothing comes close. I think it's always the poster you had as a kid on your wall that you always revert back to.... Anyway, hope to get to know you all in the forum in the future. Cheers
hi and welcome. i feel the same way, just bought an 848 and have a blade abroad. have had a couple of blades, gsx r, nc 30, rd and rg 500s, but really want a 996 / 998 to pamper. best of luck with the new toy. ian
Awesome choice, I'm in a similar boat, japanese bikes are fab but they're not Ducatis.... people who haven't owned a duc just don't understand.... enjoy
