  1. Hi chaps, just picked my 2013 1199 panigale and have the dilemma which exhaust ?

It will be used on track most of its time db's on UK track can be a challenge what you recon?

Tempted with Arrow, SC Project but think it's going to be high on db's

  2. sc vote from me ,won't stand much of a chance on anything other than noisy days, but it seems good value and a bit different.

  3. i must admit i like the look of the arrow:grinning:

  4. Sorry to be boring, but for me I'd only consider the Akra's and Termi's as the other's just spoil the aesthetics of the bike IMO. I like Arrow exhausts though and have had them on previous bikes. If you want to do track time you might even need to stick to the standard cans. I know a few of the MSV tracks have lowered their noise limits for 2016 from 105db to 102db static, so it's going to get even tougher to get on track!

  5. Hmmm...saying that. I've just looked at the SC Project exhaust and it does look good! Will be bloody noisy though!

  6. I'm a bit intrigued about this.
Seeing as the stock exhausts are loud already and hidden under the bike, why does anyone change them? There might be a power gain, but it's got a heap of that already. There might be a weight gain, but would you really notice it?
I'm just curious. Exhausts are quite expensive.

  7. Do you mean weight reduction? ;)

Well with the Termi's I fitted to my 1199 not only did I get the reduction in weight and an increase in power, the upmap helped smooth out the power delivery making it more pleasant to ride at lower speeds/revs. That, coupled with the fact I got some sexy titanium cans with a snazzy Termignoni badge riveted on the side meant it was a done deal. I bought mine used so got them for £750 which I thought was reasonable.

It's one of those things along with other modifications such as carbon fibre et al, some people just want to fit this stuff because it looks 'cool'. I agree that the standard cans aren't hideous and are plenty loud enough already, but people want to spend money on their bikes and the standard cans will always be one of the first things to go!
